All About Me
Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with food and drink. How a simple pasta can take you to the Portofino coast in Italy, a croissant can transport you to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Then as I got older, a glass of Champagne sends me to the vineyards of Reims, a bottle of Sonoma Coast Chardonnay takes me on a journey to the California Coast.
Perhaps it was because I came from New Zealand. A tiny, isolated island, in a very far away corner of the world. The way that these delicious meals and juicy bottles of wine made me feel connected to far away lands and a part of the great history that comes alongside all great food and drink.
My obsession has turned into my passion and now I get to create magical experiences for guests, transporting them to lands full of beautiful vineyards, where stories of wine making are passed down from generation to generation, and taking them on adventures through their tastebuds.
Working in wine just felt natural to me. As an ex-competitive dancer for many years, I have always loved commanding attention, telling a story and leaving people amazed. The world of wine is so magical , always with something or someone new to discover.
Whilst I am now London based, I started my wine career in New Zealand. Working with Glengarry/Hancocks and they put me through their in-house wine training programs, which really intensified my love of the food and beverage world. I continued to work with top restaurants S.P.Q.R. and Ebisu before making the move to London. Here, I have worked for Roka, La Petite Maison and most recently, Davies and Brooks at Claridges.
I am a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommerliers.
